The maximum group number that DLM prefers to take is 48 pax. Each DLM Tour currently operates with a single bus, that can accommodate a maximum capacity of approximately 50 participants.
If demand increases, DLM Christian Lifestyle reserves the right to add an additional bus to any tour in order to accommodate more travelers.
However, we want to try our best to keep the group size to a maximum of 48 people.
No - flights are not included in the tour package. Why?
Because our travelers join us from many different countries around the world, we do not include flights in our tour packages. This approach allows for greater flexibility and a better overall travel experience for everyone.
Flight costs vary widely depending on your departure country, airline, and travel class.
Flight schedules differ, and coordinating arrivals and connections for travelers from multiple countries would require extensive administration.
Team capacity — the DLM team is intentionally small and focused, and we are not large enough to responsibly manage the complex logistics and liability involved in booking and monitoring multiple international flights from different countries.
Better travel experience for you — when tour companies book flights in bulk, they often choose the cheapest options available. These can involve long layovers, multiple connections, and extended travel times, which can make an already long journey unnecessarily exhausting.
By booking your own flights, you have the freedom to choose preferred airlines, routes, and schedules, ensuring a more comfortable and efficient journey to Israel.
Our team will gladly provide recommended arrival and departure dates and times to ensure a smooth connection with the tour group once you arrive.
No. We do not designate a specific departure airport, as travelers will be departing from different countries and regions around the world, and flight options vary by location.
That said, in some cases, multiple travelers may be departing from the same state, city, or airport. If travelers voluntarily consent, we may facilitate an introduction or share general departure location information so they can choose to coordinate travel plans or meet up if they wish.
Please note that any such connections are optional and traveler-initiated, and DLM does not arrange or manage joint flight bookings. *Any location or contact information is shared only with the traveler’s explicit consent and solely for optional coordination purposes.
Yes. DLM will provide transportation from the designated arrival airport to the hotel upon arrival, as well as from the hotel back to the airport on the final day of the tour for travelers returning to their home countries.
Arrival: Transportation is provided for travelers who arrive within the designated arrival time window that we will share in advance. Travelers arriving within a similar time frame will be grouped together for shared transportation. A member of the DLM team will be at the airport to welcome you - yes, with a big DLM sign - and assist with the transfer to the hotel.
Departure: On the final day of the tour, transportation will be provided from the hotel back to the designated departure airport. Travelers with departure times in a similar time frame will be grouped together for shared transportation.
Outside the designated time window: If you are unable to book a flight that arrives or departs within the designated arrival or departure time window provided by DLM, transportation will still be arranged for you between the airport and the hotel. These transfers may be scheduled separately from the main group.
🛬 Arrival (Day 1 of the Tour):
We recommend scheduling your arrival into Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport as close to midday, ideally between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the first day of the tour.
If flights are not available within that window, we ask that travelers arrive anytime between 6:00 AM and no later than 3:00 PM on Day 1.
This timing allows everyone to arrive, settle in, and attend our group dinner and orientation meeting on the first evening, which is an important part of the tour experience.
🛫 Departure (Final Day of the Tour):
Hotel check-out is typically at 11:00 AM, and breakfast will be provided.
We recommend booking departure flights later in the morning or thereafter, allowing sufficient time for hotel check-out and transfer to the airport.
In some cases, late check-out may be possible; however, this cannot be guaranteed in advance and depends on hotel availability on the day of departure.
ℹ️ More detailed arrival and departure instructions will be shared closer to the tour date to help you finalize your flight arrangements. ⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Time-Zone Reminder:
Please double-check the arrival date on your flight ticket. Travelers flying from the United States often need to depart one or two days earlier due to crossing time zones and flying forward in time.
Travelers flying from countries such as Australia may arrive on the same calendar date because they are flying back in time.
Always confirm that your flight arrives in Israel on the correct tour start date.

No. Travel insurance and medical insurance are not included and must be arranged by each traveler individually. We strongly recommend securing appropriate coverage for international travel.
All insurance-related requirements are clearly stated in the Terms & Conditions included in the registration form on our website.
While travel and medical insurance are the responsibility of each traveler, we can share a few well-known international travel insurance providers that many travelers use and that currently offer plans covering travel to Israel.
Some commonly used providers include (but are not limited to):
Allianz Travel Insurance (might not cover Israel right now)
These companies offer a variety of plans that may include trip cancellation/interruption, emergency medical coverage, evacuation, and travel delays.
⚠️ Important Disclaimer: These providers are shared solely as general recommendations based on common traveler use. DLM Christian Lifestyle does not endorse, sell, manage, or guarantee any insurance policy, and coverage availability may change at any time.
It is the traveler’s own responsibility to:
Confirm that their chosen policy covers travel to Israel
Carefully review all terms, conditions, exclusions, and fine print of their chosen policy
Ensure the policy meets their personal medical and travel needs
DLM Christian Lifestyle is not liable for coverage decisions, claim outcomes, or policy limitations.
Yes. Daniel will be traveling with the group for the full 11 days on our March 2026 and November 2026 tours. During these tours, he will co-lead the group alongside an experienced local tour guide.
For future tours, Daniel’s availability may vary due to his ongoing ministry and work commitments.
While he may not be present for the entire duration of every trip, he will still join the group for part of the tour, as his schedule allows.
Tour pricing can vary widely, and several key factors influence the cost of a tour. Differences in pricing between DLM tours and other tour operators are typically due to the following:
Tour duration - pricing is affected by the number of days included in the itinerary.
Quality of accommodations - we prioritize comfortable, well-located hotels, with good service and good food, rather than budget options.
Travel season - peak and off-peak travel periods can significantly impact pricing.
Included experiences - excursions, site entrances, guided activities, and special experiences all affect overall cost.
Group size - many large tour operators run groups of 100–150 travelers across multiple buses, which allows them to negotiate lower per-person rates. DLM tours are intentionally kept small, with a maximum group size of 48 travelers, allowing for a more personal and meaningful experience.
Guide-to-guest ratio - smaller groups allow for better interaction, more teaching moments, and greater flexibility during the tour.
Pacing and comfort - our itineraries are thoughtfully designed to avoid rushed schedules and overly long days whenever possible.
Values-driven approach - DLM tours are faith-centered and teaching-focused, not mass-market sightseeing tours.
While lower-priced tours may exist, they often rely on larger group sizes, tighter schedules, and more basic accommodations.
DLM tours are designed to offer a higher-quality, more intentional experience that prioritizes comfort, depth, and personal connection.
The tour typically involves walking approximately 3–8 miles (5–14 kilometers) per day, with frequent stops and multiple times getting on and off the bus throughout the day. We strive to keep walking and physical activity as manageable as possible; however, Israel is a destination that naturally involves a fair amount of walking in order to experience the historic and biblical sites. Some days are more physically demanding than others, but we intentionally build in regular breaks and rest periods throughout the itinerary.
A tour bus accompanies us for the entire trip, and in many cases, the bus will drop the group at one point of a site and pick everyone up at another. If at any time you feel you need to rest, you are welcome to remain on the bus or rejoin the group at the next location, where feasible.
We have seen many older travelers on tours and have seen them enjoy the experience greatly. That said, we understand that everyone has different abilities and limitations, and we never want anyone to feel pressured to participate if they have concerns.
All participants must be able to keep pace with the group with minimal or no physical assistance.
Please note that some tour sites include uneven steps, cobblestone streets, rocky terrain, or stone stairways without railings. Many locations do not provide ramps, elevators, or other accessibility accommodations. Travelers should carefully consider any physical or medical conditions that may affect their ability to fully participate, as it is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they can remain with the group throughout the tour.
For safety reasons, DLM Christian Lifestyle and its representatives are unable to provide individual mobility assistance.
Yes, with age requirements.
Travelers must be at least 13 years old by the tour start date in order to participate.
All travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the tour.
Please note that the tour involves long days, extended walking, and educational content, and may not be suitable for younger children. We encourage parents and guardians to carefully consider whether the tour is an appropriate fit for their child.
Yes. Each traveler will receive a DLM-branded reusable water bottle, which can be refilled at select hotels and sites throughout the tour.
In addition, one bottled water per person, per day is included. If you would like extra water beyond what is provided, additional bottled water will be available for purchase on the tour bus. *Because dehydration can be common, especially during warmer seasons, we strongly encourage all travelers to stay well-hydrated by drinking water consistently throughout the day.
No. We will be staying at different hotels during different parts of the tour, depending on the itinerary and the regions we are visiting.
This allows us to minimize long travel times and stay closer to the key sites included in the tour itinerary.
On days when we check out of one hotel and travel to the next, all luggage will be securely stored in the under-compartment of the tour bus.
The tour bus remains with us throughout the day, and the bus driver stays with the vehicle while the group participates in excursions with our tour guides. This is standard practice for organized tour groups. Your luggage will remain safely stored on the bus until we arrive at the next hotel for check-in.
During our stays at each hotel, your luggage will remain at the hotel until the next scheduled travel day.
25% Deposit There is no fixed deadline for the 25% deposit; however, as outlined in our payment policy on the registration form, the deposit is due as soon as possible in order to secure your spot on the tour.
Tour spots are confirmed in the order deposits are received. If payment is delayed and the tour fills due to other completed registrations, your reservation may be subject to cancellation if the 25% deposit has not been received.
Payment Methods & Processing
Credit Card Payments: When paying by credit card, travelers will have the option to pay either the 25% deposit or the full tour amount at the time of registration. If the 25% deposit option is selected, the remaining balance will be automatically charged to the same card on file at the final payment deadline, as outlined in the payment policy.
Wire Transfer or Check Payments: When paying by wire transfer or check, it is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that the 25% deposit is received in time to secure their spot, and that the full balance is received and fully cleared in DLM’s bank account no later than 60 days prior to the tour start date.
Final Payment All tour balances must be paid in full no later than 60 days prior to the tour start date. Payments made by any method must be received and cleared by this deadline.
Failure to receive full payment by the 60-day deadline will result in cancellation of your reservation.
For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the payment confirmation page provided after registration. The payment policy and cancellation policy are also included on the registration form as well as the payment form for your reference.
If you have any questions or encounter difficulties with payment, please feel free to contact us for assistance.
Israel generally experiences pleasant and mild weather during our tour seasons, though temperatures can vary by region and time of day.
March (Spring): March marks the beginning of spring in Israel. Days are typically mild and comfortable, with daytime temperatures averaging 60–75°F (15–24°C). Evenings and mornings can be cooler, especially in Jerusalem and northern regions, so light layers are recommended.
November (Late Autumn): November brings cooler, more moderate weather. Daytime temperatures typically range from 60–75°F (15–24°C), with cooler mornings and evenings. There may be occasional light rain, especially later in the month, so a light jacket or rain layer is advisable.
Important notes:
Weather can vary significantly between regions such as Jerusalem, the Galilee, The Dead Sea, and other coastal areas.
Walking is part of the tour, so comfortable clothing and shoes are essential.
We recommend packing layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Overall, these months are considered some of the best times of year to visit Israel, offering comfortable temperatures and excellent sightseeing conditions.
We recommend packing comfortable, practical clothing suitable for walking, changing temperatures, and visiting historical and biblical sites. Israel’s climate can vary by region and time of day, so layers are key.
Recommended items include:
Your Bible (each traveler will receive their own DLM-branded notebook as gift to make notes)
Comfortable walking shoes (well broken-in; closed-toe recommended)
Lightweight, breathable clothing for daytime
Layers such as a light jacket, sweater, or hoodie for cooler mornings and evenings
Modest attire for visiting religious and holy sites (covered shoulders, longer shorts/skirts - some holy sites don't allow short and/or caps)
Swimsuit & Towel for Dead Sea excursion
Hat and sunglasses for sun protection (each traveler will receive their own DLM-branded cap, as well as a cap from our partners in Israel, as a gift)
Reusable water bottle (each traveler will receive their own DLM-branded water bottle as a gift)
A backpack - each traveler will receive their own backpack as a gift from our partners in Israel for daily essentials
Rain jacket or light waterproof layer (this will only be needed for November months)
Personal medications and basic first-aid items
Sunscreen and lip balm
Travel documents (passport and copies of important paperwork)
Phone charger / power bank
Travel adapter (Israel uses Type C/H plugs)
VERY IMPORTANT – Dead Sea Excursion:
Water shoes are required for the Dead Sea swimming experience (Do not bring flip-flops or sandals - crystallized salt can get trapped between your feet and footwear and cause pain, and flip-flops will float away.)
Optional helpful items:
Walking socks
Light scarf (useful for sun, warmth, or site requirements)
Comfortable evening wear for hotel dinners
Please pack lightly and efficiently, as luggage will be loaded on and off the tour bus when moving between hotels.
A more detailed packing checklist will be sent to travelers closer to the tour date.
All travelers are responsible for ensuring they have the required travel documents prior to departure. These include:
Valid Passport Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your return date and have at least one blank page available.
ETA-IL Authorization (if applicable) Travelers may be required to obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization for Israel) prior to travel, depending on nationality and passport type. This authorization must be approved before departure. Please apply for your ETA-IL here - https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/
It is each traveler’s responsibility to ensure that all travel documents are valid, accurate, and obtained in advance. Failure to meet entry requirements may result in denied boarding or entry into Israel, for which DLM Christian Lifestyle cannot be held responsible.
Additional reminders and guidance regarding required documents will be provided closer to the tour date.
Wi-Fi:
Most hotels included in the tour offer complimentary Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi is also available on the tour bus during travel days. Please note that connection strength may vary depending on location.
Cell Service: Cell service in Israel is generally reliable in cities and populated areas. Travelers may choose to:
Use an international roaming plan through their own home carrier
Purchase a local SIM card or eSIM
Rely on Wi-Fi where available
We recommend checking with your mobile provider prior to departure to determine the best option for your needs.
Please be aware that cell service and Wi-Fi may be limited or unavailable in certain remote or historical sites.
The official currency of Israel is the Israeli New Shekel (ILS).
Most hotels, restaurants, shops, and tourist locations accept major credit and debit cards, and card payments are widely used throughout the country.
That said, we recommend carrying a small amount of cash in Israeli Shekels for:
Small purchases
Local markets or vendors
Restroom or snack stops
Tipping in certain situations
ATM's are readily available throughout Israel, and currency exchange services can be found at airports and in major cities.
We advise travelers not to carry large amounts of cash and to use credit or debit cards whenever possible.
Israel is generally very accommodating when it comes to dietary needs, and many meals, especially at hotels, are kosher and offer a wide variety of options.
Most hotels and restaurants are able to accommodate common dietary restrictions, including vegetarian and certain allergy-related needs. However, availability and accommodation may vary by location and meal type.
We encourage travelers with specific dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical dietary needs to exercise discretion when selecting food.
DLM cannot guarantee accommodation for all special dietary requirements, but we will make reasonable efforts to communicate needs where possible.
Yes. Travelers are welcome to purchase and bring back gifts and souvenirs from Israel.
The tour itinerary will include designated times at select locations for shopping and souvenir purchases (which will be shared during the orientation meeting or throughout the tour), allowing you the opportunity to browse and buy items such as religious artifacts, local crafts, and keepsakes.
Please note that travelers are responsible for:
Complying with customs and import regulations of their home country
Ensuring items are properly packed in their luggage
Paying any applicable duties or taxes upon return
We recommend allowing space in your luggage for souvenirs and keeping fragile or valuable items in your carry-on when possible.
Yes. Israel uses Type C and Type H electrical plugs, with a standard voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50Hz.
Travelers from the United States and many other countries will need a plug adapter to use their electronic devices. Most modern chargers (phones, laptops, cameras) are dual-voltage and will work without a voltage converter, but we recommend checking your device specifications before traveling.
We suggest bringing:
A Type C or Type H plug adapter
A USB multi-port charger for convenience
Plug adapters are inexpensive and can be purchased online or at most travel stores or airports.
Yes. Travelers are welcome to arrive earlier or depart later than the official tour start/end dates if they wish to extend their stay in Israel.
⚠️ Please note the following:
Any additional nights, accommodations, transportation, or excursions outside of the official tour itinerary dates are not included in the tour package and are the traveler’s responsibility to arrange and pay for.
Airport transportation provided by DLM applies only within the designated arrival and departure windows associated with the official tour dates.
DLM does not arrange or manage independent excursions or private touring outside the scheduled group itinerary.
If you choose to arrive early or stay later, we recommend coordinating directly with your airline, hotel, or a local tour provider.
Additional details and reminders regarding arrival and departure windows will be shared closer to the tour date.
Yes. At DLM, the safety and well-being of our travelers is our top priority.
We work closely with an experienced ground handler based in Israel, who continuously monitors the security situation in real time and maintains direct communication with the relevant local authorities.
Our itineraries are carefully planned with safety in mind, and we remain flexible and responsive at all times. If any urgent changes occur due to security or war-related developments, itineraries or arrangements may be adjusted as necessary to ensure the safety and smooth travel experience of all our tour groups.
We also encourage travelers to stay informed by reviewing official government travel advisories and to travel with confidence knowing that experienced professionals are actively overseeing on-the-ground operations throughout the tour.
To ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for yourself and the group, we recommend avoiding the following:
Large or excessive luggage Pack efficiently, as luggage is loaded on and off the tour bus when changing hotels. Oversized or multiple suitcases can be difficult to manage.
Uncomfortable or new shoes Avoid brand-new or unsupportive footwear. The tour involves a significant amount of walking on uneven terrain.
Valuables or irreplaceable items We recommend leaving expensive jewelry or sentimental valuables at home. DLM is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Inappropriate attire for holy sites Clothing that is overly revealing (short shorts, tank tops, etc.) should be avoided, as many religious sites require modest dress.
Weapons or prohibited items Firearms, knives, pepper spray, drones, and other restricted items are not permitted and may be confiscated at airports or security checkpoints.
Illegal substances Israel has strict laws regarding drugs and controlled substances. Do not bring any prohibited items.
Excessive cash Avoid carrying large amounts of cash. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted.
Overpacking electronics Bring only necessary devices. Remember to pack the appropriate plug adapters.
Packing light, practical, and respectfully will help you enjoy the tour more fully.
A detailed packing checklist and final travel reminders will be sent to travelers closer to the tour date.
